Client: The Quality Assurance Agency For Higher Education 

Brief: Interim Press, PR and Communications Management 

Working for QAA on a three-month interim assignment to provide operational press, PR and communications support for Access to Higher Education, membership, and international services teams.

Key Achievements:
  • Managed the day to day operation of the proactive and reactive press office including developing advising the senior leadership team on lines to take and providing expertise across the national and international higher and further education sectors.
  • Developed and provided media outreach and engagement. Wrote and edited news articles, reports, press releases, newsletters, and case studies.
  • Designed and promoted key campaigns, liaising with senior stakeholders, academics, Government and the media.
  • Developed internal communications channels including copywriting weekly team newsletters.
  • Provided social media marketing support, including leading social media for live events including the Access to HE Conference and the QAA Annual Conference.

Client: Central Research Laboratory 

Brief: Accelerator Programme and Demo Day Marketing Project Management 

Three-month interim marketing management role leading the planning and delivery of marketing and PR to drive-up recruitment for CRL’s flagship Accelerator Programme.

A second project during this brief was the lead all marketing and PR for CRL’s Demo Day - a showcase event for startups on the hardware Accelerator Programme. This included overseeing all outbound event marketing, collateral development, video production, and proactive and reactive media engagement.

Key Achievements:
  • Developed and implemented a highly successful integrated event marketing strategy.
  • Year on year event attendance more than doubled as a result of the strategy.
  • Secured a raft of high profile media coverage in target national and sector media.
  • Winning submission written and entered for the West London Business Of The Year. 
  • Provided paid-social media marketing coaching and training to the marketing team.
